Graduate Student
Inbar Maayan

Inbar is a Ph.D. candidate in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University, interested in understanding the mechanisms that generate and maintain biodiversity.

Presently, Inbar is studying the diverse Anolis lizards; specifically, her dissertation focuses on the evolution and phylogeography of Jamaican anoles. In her research, she integrates approaches from morphology, ecology, population genomics, phylogenetics, biogeography and natural history to get a better understanding of the evolutionary relationships among the species she studies, and the larger patterns we can infer from their present and their past about how life diversifies.

In addition to the Edwards Lab, Inbar is also affiliated with the Losos and Haig Labs.
